Curtis Richards - Team Leader
Curtis "Chuck" Richards comes from Danville, Iowa. He graduated with an Associate of Arts degree from Southeastern Community College in 2015 before transferring to Iowa State University. At I.S.U. he studies electrical engineering with an emphasis in power and distribution engineering. When he is not playing with power circuits, he enjoys being out on the water, playing guitar, and brewing beer.
Jonathan Rothfus - Software Engineer
Hi! I'm Jon. When I'm not busy with studies at ISU, I enjoy teaching myself Russian, playing guitar, watching documentaries and going to the gym. I got my PADI open water SCUBA certification here in Ames a couple years ago, but so far have only dived in Iowa. I'm looking forward to my first ocean dive!
Tania Alvarado Carias - Head of Electrical Safety
Hi I’m Tania! I’m originally from Honduras. I received an Associate of Arts and an Associate of Sciences in 2016 before transferring to Iowa State to study Electrical Engineering. My focus is on Energy Systems and Renewable Energy. In my free time I enjoy weightlifting at the gym and playing board games!
Brian Kirkpatrick - Head of Circuit Design
Hi I am Brian! I was born in Des Moines Iowa, and graduated from East High School. I joined the Army afterwards and became a heavy equipment technician. I later graduated with honors from Lincoln College with an Associates degree in Automotive Technology & Business. I am a senior in Electrical Engineering with a focus in power systems. In my free time I enjoy snowboarding, RC car hobbyist and vehicle restoration projects.
Abdullah Bahashawn - Head of Rectification Circuits
Hi I am Abdul! I am from Saudi Arabia. My focus areas are power and VLSI. When I am not busy with school, I enjoy boxing and dancing. I am part of the Iowa State Boxing Team and Descarga Latin Club.

I’m Yan Wang from New Jersey and go to ISU for electrical engineering with emphasis on power. I enjoy board games and most racket sports.
